Structural Christian Development

Development

Structural Christian development is the process of growing as a believer in Christ through a deliberate and intentional approach that seeks to build a strong foundation for spiritual growth. This involves developing a solid understanding of the Bible, establishing a strong prayer life, building healthy relationships, serving others, and living out one's faith in everyday life. Here are some biblical references that can help guide us in this process:

  1. Building a strong foundation on Christ - "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock." - Matthew 7:24-25

  2. Developing a solid understanding of the Bible - "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." - 2 Timothy 3:16-17

  3. Establishing a strong prayer life - "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:6-7

  4. Building healthy relationships - "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." - 1 Thessalonians 5:11

  5. Serving others - "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms." - 1 Peter 4:10

  6. Living out one's faith in everyday life - "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." - Matthew 5:16

In conclusion, structural Christian development involves intentional and deliberate steps towards building a strong foundation on Christ, developing a solid understanding of the Bible, establishing a strong prayer life, building healthy relationships, serving others, and living out one's faith in everyday life. As we grow in these areas, we can become more effective witnesses for Christ and live a life that is pleasing to God
